What is new in Alfred Desktop 3.6

The following functionalities have been added or modified in this release:

Feature

Description

User input pop-up screen
While executing a command, the user is requested to provide input through a pop-up screen. This can be applied in any kind of custom project command.
Lock & Export
The user can lock and download to a container the folder and its content. The content cannot be edited by any user until it is released again.
Import & Release
Uploading the container with the updated content, compare the changes (removed, added, changed), and release the content to be edited by others.
Remove Lock
Remove the lock on the folder that was locked.
Invalidate
Moving the content to a shadow structure before it is finally deleted by an authorized person.
Improved Cache Speed & Performance
Performance enhancements in multiple areas of the user interface have been implemented including improvement of the cache speed within Alfred Desktop.

Is Alfred Desktop compatible with Alfresco 6.x?

Alfred Desktop is compatible with Alfresco 6.0 and 6.1 and we are working to make it compatible with Alfresco 6.2 too.

How do I upgrade Alfred Desktop?

Please follow the following steps:

- Look at the changelog to see if other modules than Alfred Desktop backend have to be upgraded (most commonly Alfred API)

- Upgrade Alfred Desktop backend amp (and legacy amp if it is installed and still needed for backward compatibility). See the changelog of the client for the required Alfred Desktop backend version.

- The backends are backward compatible with older clients so users with an older client can still work. However, to complete the upgrade the clients now also have to be upgraded as well.

How do I change the language settings for Alfred Desktop?

In the top left corner click on File → Open Settings. In the window that opens up choose the “General“ tab and choose the language under “Language“ from the drop-down menu.
