FAQ
Alfred Desktop is compatible with Alfresco 6.0 and 6.1 and we are working to make it compatible with Alfresco 6.2 too.
Please follow the following steps:
- Look at the changelog to see if other modules than Alfred Desktop backend have to be upgraded (most commonly Alfred API)
- Upgrade Alfred Desktop backend amp (and legacy amp if it is installed and still needed for backward compatibility). See the changelog of the client for the required Alfred Desktop backend version.
- The backends are backward compatible with older clients so users with an older client can still work. However, to complete the upgrade the clients now also have to be upgraded as well.
In the top left corner click on File → Open Settings. In the window that opens up choose the “General“ tab and choose the language under “Language“ from the drop-down menu.
Alfred Desktop can be downloaded from https://alf1.xenit.eu/share. You will need an account in order to access the content.
Mandatory amps:
- Dynamic Extensions
- Alfred API
- Alfred Desktop addon
Optional amps:
- Alfred Desktop legacy
- Alfred Finder Workflow
- Windows 8.1
- Windows 10
Alfred Desktop is currently Windows-based.
Alfred Desktop runs out of the box and has a very simple installation on the back-end and the front-end. Xenit will provide assistance during a pilot project to assure optimal conditions to evaluate Alfred Desktop. Where required and requested XeniT can help you to fine-tune and configure Alfred Desktop, and set up a roll-out scheme. Many of our customers and partners with Alfresco experience can configure the Alfred Desktop back end to meet their requirements.
